Why I do this work

Hi, I'm Kolette. I've always been fascinated by how things are made. That curiosity led me to study Materials Science & Engineering, and into a career in product development and quality. I still think the best days are the ones spent on a factory floor, asking questions of the people actually building the product.

At Away I audited and onboarded four finished-goods factories in Southeast Asia, built the inspection processes and quality documentation behind them, and led teams across the US and Asia. Before that I was a product development engineer at David Yurman, in fine jewelry — where tolerances are measured differently and the cost of getting it wrong is immediate.

After eight years at Away I wanted to bring that experience to more than one brand at a time. I started K Fabbioli Advisory to work directly with teams on the problems that sit between a good product and a reliable one.
